[2.52 MB] USBR (2023) Update RMB10 Model Trinity River.pdf
U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). 2023. Update of the RBM10 model for predicting daily average temperatures on the Trinity River, California. Report ENV-2023-115. U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Technical Service Center, Denver, Colorado. Available: https://www.trrp.net/library/document?id=2628.
This report documents the project of updating the River Basin Model-10 (RBM10) – a one-dimensional (1D) daily average temperature model for the Trinity River in California (CA). The primary objective is to add a new option to RBM10 so that the river flow variables needed by RBM10 as inputs are computed directly from the 1D hydraulic model Hydrologic Engineering Center - River Analysis System (HEC-RAS). With the update completed, RBM10 v2.0 is applied to the Trinity River from Lewiston Dam down to the confluence with the Klamath River in a reach of approximately 112.2 miles. In this model version, the original option of computing the river flow variables using rating curve power functions is retained for model back-compatibility.
