Justin Ly made a motion to accept the following amended policy statement regarding drone use: As a "Good Neighbor" in the Trinity River watershed regarding the use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), while conducting work for the Trinity River Restoration Program, staff of the TMC member organizations and contractors will conduct UAS activities under "fly for work" rules (Fa Part 107 or future equivalents), will make reasonable efforts to contact private and public landowners within flight plans prior to the flights, and will annually report usage of UAS (date, agency, and purpose) for listing on the TRRP website. This allows contracts and agreements to be prepared earlier to help ensure obligations of funds. The Executive Director will provide quarterly updates on the FY19 budget. The Executive will provide recommendations for priorities for changes in funds at future meetings. Teresa Connor seconded the motion.
